Manuscript Preparation and Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts must be submitted in Word format, single-column layout, and in the simplest possible format. Use the following formatting:

  • Font: Times New Roman

  • Size: 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Justification: Full (justified alignment)

Tables, figures, and images must be submitted separately, even if embedded in the text. Recommended formats: JPG or PNG. Manuscripts are accepted in Spanish, English, or Portuguese.

First Page

Must include:

  • Title: Concise and informative, up to 20 words. Avoid acronyms and symbols.

  • Translated title in English or Spanish, depending on the original language.

  • Authors’ names and affiliations: Full name, institutional affiliation (institution, city, country), using superscript letters (a, b, c).

  • Corresponding author: Provide full name, email, and postal address.

Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract: Max 250 words, including objective, methodology, results, and conclusions.

  • Languages: Abstracts must be in both English and the manuscript’s original language.

  • Keywords: 4 to 6, selected from DeCS or UNESCO Thesaurus.

Recommended Manuscript Structure

  • Introduction: Context, theoretical background, and study objectives.

  • Materials and Methods: Study design, participants, tools, and procedures.

  • Results: Clear and concise, supported by figures/tables. Avoid repetition.

  • Discussion: Analyze results in light of the literature.

  • Conclusions: Brief summary aligned with the objectives.

Data and Materials Availability

Authors are encouraged to share datasets and codes in public repositories (e.g., Zenodo, OSF). If not possible, state data are available on request.

Figures and Tables

  • Figures: Numbered (Figure 1, Figure 2…), with captions. High resolution required.

  • Tables: Numbered, no internal lines. Editable text only, with clear headings and footnotes.

References

  • Style: APA, 7th edition.

  • Recommended tools: Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote.
